What to wear for YOUR studio session

THINK ABOUT THE TONE AND VIBE YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE IN THE FINAL IMAGES.
Do you want your portraits to convey a soft, light neutral look?
Then I suggest going dressing in neutrals, pastel colors and lighter tones.

Do you want more of a bold, fun, modern pop?
Then definitely go for darker & brighter colors that give off some good color!

There are no concrete rules to follow when dressing for your portraits. They should reflect on the style of you and your family.
The only things I will suggest are the following…
-Do not feel you all need to dress the same. Wearing colors that look nice together makes things look less intentional and more natural!
-Patterns can be beautiful, but tricky! If you decide to wear a pattern that is great…sometimes it is good to start with a pattern and go off of the colors in that pattern for the other people in your family. I suggest to only have 1 person with a pattern in your group, otherwise the photo can start to look too busy!

Here are a few good samples of sessions in my studio, most are backlit or on a white or off white backdrop.
However, I have plain backdrop papers in studio, such as black, grey, tan, dark green, light blue, light pink and red. There are a few at the very end that show what different colored backdrops look like too!
